Syntax:       wrap <target>

A targeted and hostile use of influence over flora, a druid using wrap hastens forth an array of bracken and undergrowth, binding a target's limbs and preventing all attacks for a period of time.

Unlike entwine, which a druid learns as he or she progresses further in the guild, this ability is incapable of binding a target in place; while wrapped, a target is fully capable of departing the druid's room, though they will have much difficulty in using their limbs.

Similar to entwine, however, this ability benefits greatly from a vegetation-heavy environment, with indoor environments greatly reducing the effectiveness of your wrap.

Commentary


When cast, wrap will prevent a foe from attacking for a period of time and then will weaken and allow the foe to attack but not as effectively. Wrap cannot be recast on a foe until it completely wears off which means the foe will have a period where it can attack but with less effectiveness.

Since quicksand can only be cast when the druid is already in combat, wrap is an excellent lore to initiate combat with if a druid is facing a foe which could deal significant damage if left to its own devices for even the brief period of time required to cast quicksand. Many high level druids cast wrap and immediately follow it with quicksand to securely prevent the foe from damaging them.

A druid must wait approximately 18-20 seconds after casting wrap to cast it again.

Unlike the other lores which benefit from the use of mistletoe, if you have mistletoe in your inventory when you cast wrap, it will **always** consume one sprig per cast. If you are running low on mistletoe, be sure your remaining stock is in a boh or other container before casting.
