Monoliths are towering slabs of carved stone, used by the druids of Astaria for numerous rituals. The most famous monolith of Astaria exists directly outside the druid guildhall, famous due to its unmoving status; even when Astaria forges forward into a new incarnation, that monolith stands tall. Known by locals as the "Forest Stone", this monolith is called Cloch Glais among druids, and is the guild's Beithe stone, constantly placed and ready.

The druids of Astaria employ these monoliths to harness nature's power and shift themselves about the Realm in shortened passages of time.

Depending on your status within the guild, your capacity to use the monoliths will vary:
* Upon reaching level 15, a druid may freely travel among all the monoliths currently placed throughout the realm.
* When master status is attained within the Druidic Circle, a druid may summon forth monoliths at desired locations. Please note that the monoliths are shared among all guildmembers, so discussion with your Circle regarding placement is most likely wise.
* And finally, only the druid guildmaster may unsummon monoliths back into the depths of the earth; though when Astaria moves into a new incarnation, all monoliths except the monolith outside the guildhall will sink into the earth.

Commentary

Once summoned, monoliths will remain in place through the current reboot of Astaria; unlike the Mage Skygate or Psion Teleport sites, monolith sites are available to the druid as soon as they enter the realm and they do not need to travel to the locations to set them.

A druid may instantly travel from monolith to monolith without delay and 10 monoliths exist in the realm, which is greater than the number of skygate or teleport sites available to mages or psions.

If held in the room by magical means (Mage Fetter guild skill, Psion Mindfang guild skill, Druid Quicksand guild skill, etc) a druid will be prevented from traveling from monolith to monolith.
